Working with The Denver Post's newsroom leadership, I helped develop and roll out strategies for breaking news, special projects and election strategy, along with everyday story selection.

From creating flowcharts clarifying steps to take in breaking news situations to pre-planning SEO for anticipated coverage, I've worked with reporters, editors and producers to streamline content strategy at The Denver Post.

Breaking News Workflow

I developed a workflow starting with the initial breaking news report and extending into next-day coverage. This workflow allowed teams to rapidly produce multiple sharable links to provide our community with extensive information in digestible parts.

Special Project Planning

I often led special event coverage, meeting with reporters and editors to plot out what content we could expect, and ensuring all components were optimized when they were completed.

Election Content Strategy

Beginning with creating SEO-friendly voter resources on ballot issues and candidates prior to the election, I helped lead our politics team to build consistent traffic on topics leading up to and through Election Day  2016 and 2017.
