In my most recent roles as digital director of news production and online news editor for The Denver Post, I was heavily involved in originating story ideas, flagging breaking news and planning coverage of events.
I wrote more in my other roles as a junior online editor for Craftsy, a reporting fellow for The Patriot-News, a public life and education reporter for the Columbia Missourian in 2008 and 2010 and while I interned for MSN UK in London for four months in 2008.

Denver Post reporting
Reporting with my byline can be found here.
Craftsy copy writing
Craftsy's blog covers topics from cake decorating to woodworking. With everything from tutorials to giveaways, the blog serves as a major traffic driver for the website, frequently leading readers to take the "next step" of purchasing from Craftsy. I wrote a number of features, giveaways and contests for the blog. Links to my writing can be found here.
The Patriot-News reporting
The Patriot-News was named Pennsylvania's Newspaper of the Year in 2010, published 7 days a week and reached 436,300 readers weekly. The Patriot-News won the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for local reporting for its coverage of the Jerry Sandusky investigation and trial. See a selection of my reporting here. Links to my all of my reporting and online work are listed here.
Columbia Missourian reporting
The Columbia Missourian is published five days a week and covers the events of a city of 100,000. My pieces vary from front-page stories, breaking news and my weekly turn to ask our readers "Today's Question." Links to my reporting are listed here.
MSN UK reporting
MSN UK is Microsoft's national news site and is based in London. There, I reported on events, exhibits and wrote introductions and captions for photo galleries based on current events. Unfortunately, after I left my internship at MSN UK, the site was updated and my links were broken in the process. I was able to preserve most of the images and the text, which are shown here.
