About Me
Based in Denver, I am a journalist and content marketer with a wide range of experience promoting everything from news to e-commerce products. I enjoy watching audiences grow and engage with businesses with the help of smart strategy and effective content.
I currently serve as the Denver Business Journal's managing editor, where I lead a team of reporters covering everything from Colorado's complicated energy sector to Denver's booming real estate market. I help plan our daily digital presence, edit our print product and develop long-term strategy to meet companywide goals.
Before joining the DBJ, I was the director of digital news production at The Denver Post, where I managed a team of five producers in optimizing, strategizing and sharing an average of more than 100 stories a day. I was the online news editor for denverpost.com before being promoted to lead the team.
Prior to moving to Denver, I worked as a web producer at POLITICO, a news outlet that covers political news with a focus on national politics, Congress, Capitol Hill and more. I have also held positions as the community producer for PennLive.com and lehighvalleylive.com and a reporting fellow for the Patriot-News in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
My college experience included stints as an office assistant, reporter, copy editor, assistant city editor and information graphics reporter for the Columbia Missourian newspaper and website. In 2008, I studied abroad in London and had the opportunity to work as a news intern at MSN UK. In 2009, I attended the Institute on Political Journalism at Georgetown University and interned in the Live Online department of the washingtonpost.com.
I graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism with a degree in Print and Digital News, a minor in Political Science and a Multicultural Studies Certificate.
